About Us
Jacob Upshaw and Hannah Bustamante, siblings rooted in the rich traditions and vibrant tapestry of Central and North Louisiana, are the brains behind Parish Moon Apparel. Their childhood in Alexandria formed a canvas of memories that later influenced their aesthetic and creative designs. From magnolia blossoms to the haunting allure of the bayous, every piece they produce whispers tales of their Louisiana heritage. Their alma maters, with Hannah graduating from Louisiana Tech and Jacob from Louisiana College, further deepened their connection to the state.
While Hannah chose to remain in Ruston, surrounded by the familiar landscapes and with her family by her side, Jacob ventured out to Dallas, Texas. But distance only made his love for Louisiana grow fonder. His new home in Dallas, where he resides with his wife and children, became a repository of memories from back home, each one waiting to be stitched and woven into his designs.
Parish Moon Apparel isn’t just a business for the siblings; it's a celebration, a tribute to their roots. Every t-shirt, every piece of apparel, carries with it a story from Louisiana - be it an age-old legend, a local joke, or simply the warmth of its people. Drawing inspiration from Louisiana's diverse parishes, unique festivals, and unmistakable Southern charm, Parish Moon Apparel aims to bring a piece of Louisiana to everyone, whether you're a local, an expatriate, or someone looking to experience the state's magic for the first time. Their designs transcend geography, reminding Jacob of home every time he dons one of their creations and giving Hannah the joy of sharing her love for Louisiana with the world.
